Fragments Shop

Last week I came across an advertisement for a new shop in one of the neighboring little towns. The shop is called Fragments and it is a wonderful gift store for all things unique. I finally got the chance to stop in there today. I wish I could find a place in my home for several things in that shop.

Bare Bones

Today was garbage night. I needed to decide if the chair was staying or heading out. I stripped everything off of it and decided it really was still a good chair...even if it is a mess. I found even more nail holes to suggest that it's seen more than just the four layers of fabric I know of. I also found a button buried deep within the chair as I stripped off the last layer of fabric.

I must say, if it weren't for all of the wonderful and inspiring blogs regarding reusing and refabing vintage items, I would never have bought this stupid chair. Just what I needed was another chair.

In my imagination

In my imagination, I own this fascinating shop in some quaint and out of the way location. My shop is filled with all sorts of neat crafty type items. Most of those items would be salvaged off of vintage clothing.

Well, in reality, I don't own a shop like that. I have a craft zone that's more of a disaster zone and not enough hours in a day to get to my craftiness let alone manage a shop.

So this blog will be a way to make that shop happen. No, nothing is for sale, it's my imagination after all. This blog, however, will be a place for me to showcase some of the creativity that does finally emerge with in my creative zone when life finally allows for a minute or two just for me.
